Building Resilience Before the Crisis
“My hope is that every student leaves our program knowing three things: they matter, they belong, and they are not alone.”
The larger things Scilla has written, built and led.

The Book
Simple Activities That Gamify Talking About Our Feelings
The Creative Coping Toolkit (CCT) is a resource to help people of all ages talk about their feelings, connect with friends and family, and nurture an empathetic community.
Its ten simple activities cover effective ways to manage doubt and anxiety, resources to nourish the heart and mind, investments in growing your mental wealth, and healthy ways to assess and reflect.
Published by IndieFlix Group in 2019.
I wrote The Creative Coping Toolkit because parents kept encouraging me to share the little “brain hacks” I had made up over the years to help navigate life. Much later, I learned that many of them were actually rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy and brain science, which helped explain why they worked. I wanted to make those tools simple, playful and accessible, so kids and adults could better understand what they’re feeling, talk about it, and know they have things they can do to help themselves and each other.
Scilla
On the book
“Per usual, Scilla is masterful at sparking important conversations among families. It’s all too easy to zone out and avoid self-inquiry/reflection in our digitally driven world. Glad this book exists to help fight that trend.”
